Tom Fletcher kicked off Strictly Come Dancing training ahead of this weekend’s pre-recorded launch night, where his dance partner will be revealed. On his social media page, many of his fans flocked to his post to guess who it could be.

The McFly singer shared a picture of his and his partner’s feet wearing similar dance shoes.

The 36-year-old’s teacher was seen wearing tights, while he opted for white socks.

In his caption, Tom said his decision didn’t impress his partner during rehearsals.

In view of his two million followers, he wrote: “My dance partner and I in day 1 of @bbcstrictly training.

“Don’t worry, she’s already told me off for my white socks… but who is she?”

Many of his fans flocked to his post to comment.

Instagram user Molly Elizabeth wrote: “Amy.”

Berley Blah added: “I’m convinced it’s Amy, she was wearing black in her Insta stories!”

Sophie J Roberts commented: “Amy or Diane!”(sic)

Laura Ellen penned: “Got my fingers crossed it’s Dianne!!!!”

All dancing duos will be unveiled on the upcoming launch show.

Tom was the first contestant to be announced for the competition in August.

Speaking to Alex Jones and Amol Rajan on The One Show, he said his band mate Harry Judd, who won Strictly in 2011, had been giving him advice.

He revealed: “I can’t shut Harry up about Strictly.

“He’s been giving me loads of advice already and I remember when he won it, I watched it every week and it was partly watching him do that and seeing what an amazing experience he had.

“I think since then, I’ve had a secret little desire to do it.”

The singer is in competition to win the Glitterball trophy against; Ugo Monye, Judi Love, Adam Peaty, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Nina Wadia, Greg Wise Tilly Ramsay, Dan Walker, Katie McGlynn, John Whaite, AJ Odudu, Robert Webb, Rhys Stephenson and Sara Davies.

In a change-up to the judging panel this year, Anton Du Beke will be replacing Bruno Tonioli.

The dancer will be joined by head judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be returning on hosting duties.

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off tonight at 7.45pm on BBC One.
