I blame my phone for turning me into the ultimate catfish – my transformations made people’s jaws drop | The Sun

WHEN you hear the term catfish, you're probably thinking of a woman who wears so much makeup she transforms into someone else entirley.

But Becca, from the US, revealed her transformation was all thanks to her phone, and people are stunned by just how realistic it looks.

Taking to social media, Becca, who no longer catfishes her photos has revealed her secrets.

The brunette beauty didn't use the art of contouring to change her face shape, instead she used the infamous app, Facetune.

The app, which claims to be 'the most popular selfie photo editing app out there,' is where Becca started transforming herself into an entirely different person.

While most people use it to enhance lighting, Becca admitted her usage was 'overkill.'

But the reality couldn't be further from the truth.

As she peeled back the edits, the photo showed her bare-faced and with a very different face shape to the photo she posted on social media.

Although Becca no longer uses the app to alter photos of herself, she speaks openly about the toxic ways editing selfies on social media can knock people's confidence.

Becca now shows people the edits to highlight that what you see on social media isn't always reality.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @baaobrat has since gone viral with over four million views and over 400k likes.

People in the comments were stunned by how much could be changed, and how realist it looked.
