I gave my twin baby girls two very unique names – but trolls say they are terrible & my kids will get BULLIED over them | The Sun

A MUM and dad have been blasted by trolls for their unique choice of names for their twin girls.

The names the parents chose for their babies left people debating on Reddit which of the names was worse.

A Reddit user, who didn't appear to be the parent, posted a birth announcement photo of two baby girls with their faces covered by pink hearts.

The birth announcement photo shows both girls tucked up in their hospital bassinets.

Each one had a sign above each baby with their unique full names, date of birth, and birth weight.

Twin baby girls Skyla Storm and Scotland Rain were born on June 16, 2020, right in the thick of the Covid pandemic – and their names have caused a stir.

Though the birth of a new baby is almost always a topic of discussion, the comment section exploded over the meanings behind the twins' names.

Trolls said the girls will probably be bullied over their names – and others blasted the choices as "embarrassing".

One person said: "Currently trying to figure out which one you think got the short end of the stick lol.

"Both are terrible and embarrassing names to bear and to have named your child."

Another commented: "As someone who lives in Scotland, this is truly a name that would have you bullied out the country asap."

A third wrote: "As a Scottish person, I feel the need to say that Scottish rain is pervasive and unpleasant, so I never pictured someone naming their child 'Scotland Rain' before."

A fourth said: "Why would you name your kid after storms and rain? Ridiculous."

Others pointed out that Skyla is the name of a contraception.

"Scotland Rain is a revolting name. Skyla is birth control," one said.

Another wrote: "Skyla is a type of IUD… did they not research this!?"

But others said the names could be much worse – and said they liked the choice.

"But actually I don't hate those," one said.
