A SAVVY shopper has revealed how she saved £133 from sites like Nike and Nasty Gal using a secret sales website, to maximise on the Black Friday deals.
Indi Patel found comparison site LovetheSales.com while searching for deals and slashed 60 per cent off her basket using a Black Friday tool.
A 23-year-old student from Solihull, Indi says being at university has forced her to get thrifty with her shopping.
Speaking to Fabulous, she said: "Being a student during a pandemic is really tough.
"Coronavirus has made it hard to find part-time jobs, and unfortunately university essentials like books and a laptop don't come cheap.
"I'm always looking for money off, whether it's a discount code or a new customer offer, I never pay full price if I don't have to.
"I was searching for a nice desk chair and a few clothes pieces online. I found a couple of things I liked, but the costs quickly added up.
"I Googled phrases like 'price drop tool' and 'price drop hack', to see if there was a service that could notify me when the things I wanted dropped in price, that's when I found the price drop tool.
"It lets you shortlist products from all the top retailers, and then will notify you when the product drops in price.
"I created an account, found a bunch of products I wanted and then added about 50 into my shortlist.
"From then it was just a waiting game, I wasn't in a huge rush to buy, so I just waited until I got a notification and then ordered what I wanted."
Indi’s savvy shopping tips
If you're looking to maximise on Black Friday savings, Indi shared some of her best tips.
- Always wishlist your products, it's worth waiting for a drop in price.
- For students like me, look for a student discount code first.
- When you go to a shop's homepage and can't immediately see a voucher code, wait 1-2 minutes. Some online shops will display 'discount popups' to inactive users to encourage them to buy.
The shopping comparison site tracks prices from more than six million products in fashion, homeware and tech.
Indi said: "I love the office chair I bought. It was full price, but I got a price drop notification that Very had pushed it into their early Black Friday sale.
"I got the last one in stock for £20 off, I was so happy about that as the chair is super comfortable, exactly what I wanted.
"I also got a pair of black Chelsea Boots for 83% off. They were 20% off when I first added them to my shortlist (£95 down to £76), which was still too much.
"A week later, I got a price drop alert that they'd come down to £15, which was amazing.
"You can browse by your sizes and when you shortlist products, you'll get notified if your size is low in stock, so you don't miss out.
"I'm so thrilled with my savings, I still can't believe I saved over £130. I have loads more things in my wishlist, bring on Black Friday I say."

Stuart McClure, co-founder of LovetheSales.com, said: "Our data shows 82 per cent off all online products will reduce in price in the run up to Black Friday and Christmas, so it's a no brainer using a price drop tool to save a bit of money.
"Retailers are eager to make the most out of this holiday period, so our advice is to be picky and do your research.
"Find out what price a product usually goes for from multiple retailers, that way when you see it drop in price, you'll know if it is a good deal."
