Thousands of people have been working hard on making sure their energy bills don’t go up this winter.
And they are taking to social media to share their findings.
One woman in particular has discovered a surprising tip.
The cleaning fan, who goes by the name of Claire Laurence-Couzens on TikTok, has revealed an extra room in your house which will help when it comes to your washing.

Taking to TikTok, she shared a video of her washing load drying.
She said: “Drying clothes in the winter is a ball ache!”
Claire revealed that she uses her airing cupboard to speed up the drying process.
Explaining that she has come up with the perfect ‘laundry solution’, she says: “A handy tip for these wet days! I took one shelf out and put a rail in.”
The video shows her clothes drying on hangers.
And this isn’t the only tip for the washing load this winter.
Another homeowner previously shared a button on the washing machine that will help get your clothes dried quicker without a tumble dryer.
The mum regularly shares cleaning tips and tricks that she has discovered herself whilst running her own household.
And she revealed that if you put your clothes on an extra spin, they will come out without as much water on them.
Ultimately, it means that your clothes won’t take as long to dry.
