My DIY anti-aging face mask uses just three store cupboard ingredients – it'll tighten your skin and get rid of wrinkles | The Sun

A BEAUTY enthusiast has revealed the effective ingredients she uses to make an anti-aging face mask at home.

Kirti (@kirtitewani) combined a selection of spices that most people have in their kitchen cupboard to create a mask that slows the signs of aging.

She boasts almost 308,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares her skincare regimen and diet for a youthful appearance.

She said: "Wrinkles are easier to prevent than to repair, so let’s make an anti-aging Ayurvedic mask."

Ayurvedic refers to an alternative medicine system with historical roots in India.

Kirti continued: “All you need is red lentils. They tighten the skin and help to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines.

“Saffron its active compounds work against inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and UV damage.

“Turmeric, it’s a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect the skin from free radical damage that can cause wrinkles and pigmentation.

“For dry skin, mix it with yogurt. For oily skin, mix it with water.

“The term anti-aging doesn’t emphasize enough on prevention and most of us start in our late 30s and 40s rather than focusing on it in our 20s.
