HAVE you ever been left frustrated when trying to get a shopping trolley out and realising you’ve left your £1 coin at home?
A woman claims to have found a very easy solution to the issue which could make your life a lot easier.
We’ve previously seen people using their keys to replace the need for coins in the hole – but this doesn’t always work.
Some of the slots need the coin to go completely inside the trolley, so a household key just wouldn’t fit.
However, shopper Julie found a genius solution, and shared it on her @julieannex_higgins account.
She explained: “Shopping trolley hack!

“No £1 coin or trolley token?
“Use the loop from your keys.”
All you need to do is place the metal ring inside the trolley, and she claims it works the same as a £1 coin.
She added: “I actually don’t carry cash and always forget to bring my token so I just take a loop off my keys works the same.”

People were impressed with the hack, with one writing: “No way! Gunna start doing this.”
Another added: “omg.”
And a third person gave their own advice, saying: “Two 20ps does it as well.”
Shopper @tasha32 demonstrated the 20p hack in another video and showed how they had to be stacked.
According to Tasha, she was shown the hack at her local Tesco and the mum was left in utter shock when it worked on her trolley.
In the caption, she even wrote: “When some lady shows you this at Tesco…how am I only just learning this?”
Unsurprisingly, she wasn’t the only one who was impressed by the thrifty tip and her video rapidly went viral – gaining over 3 million views.
In the comments, her followers gushed about the hack and one even wrote: “Literally running to a supermarket to try this out!!!”
