Shoppers run to Asda to nab kids’ toys scanning at £1.40 from £15…people say they are so cheap it must be a ‘mistake’ | The Sun

SHOPPERS are scrambling to get to their nearest Asda, desperate to check out kids’ toys that have been massively reduced.

So if you’ve got a little one, or know someone who does, you’ll want to pay attention.

Savvy shopper Millie Redrup was left stunned when shopping in her local Asda, when she spotted that kids’ toys were scanning super cheap.

Not only were they heavily slashed, but they were so cheap, that Millie was convinced there was a ‘mistake’.

Thrilled at her cut-price finds, Millie took to social media to show them off.

Posting on Facebook, on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private group with a staggering 2.3 million members, the bargain hunter said: “Every year I look out for super bargains to donate at Christmas to our local food bank.

Bargain hunters left outraged over the new Christmas collection in The Range

“Over the years I’ve found some great things but these are my best buys so far.

“I’m pretty sure these were a price mistake, the fire engines were £2.50 and the safari was £1.40 in Asda. They had fire engines left, they were not labelled.

“Going to be great presents for those having a hard time this Christmas, I’m buzzing!”

Millie was lucky enough to nab two Dynaforce fire trucks and a safari adventure playset.

The safari adventure playset was originally £15, but for just £1.40, Millie saved an impressive £13.60.

The fire trucks were once priced at £17 each, but Millie was lucky enough to swipe them for just £2.50 each, saving £14.50 per truck.

Saving a whopping £42.60 on her haul, it’s no surprise that Millie was thrilled with her cheap finds.

Millie shared her post just 13 hours ago, but it has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 732 likes and 85 comments.

One person said: “That's a mad price for some engines!”

Another added: “Wow and you are so kind.”

A third commented: “Definitely a bargain. I found the fire engine plus a few other toys I'd seen in this group reduced. Scanned them earlier in Wigan Asda and all full price. Well done on your find.”

Meanwhile, someone else claimed: “A lot of Asdas are having a big clear out of stock from the warehouse to make way for Christmas. Every store is different so it's always good to keep an eye out.”

At the same time, many shoppers were desperate to nab these bargain buys and many tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the reductions.

One shopper tagged a friend and penned: “I will check our Asda.”

A second asked a loved one: “If you go to Asda tomorrow can you get these please.”

Whilst a third tagged a Facebook user and wrote: “Can you have a look in Asda tomorrow.”
