Woman gets slammed for 'taking the fun out of Christmas' with cling film hack she uses to decorate her house in 10 mins | The Sun

A WOMAN has shared a quick and easy hack she uses to save time at Christmas, but her nifty trick has been slammed by TikTok users.

@roseroomgiftsuk usually posts videos about candle making on her TikTok account, but took a break from this content to share her time-saving hack.

She posted a video of herself decorating her house for Christmas, accompanied by the caption: "Best Christmas hack ever".

In the video, the woman can be seen kneeling down next to a Christmas tree wrapped in layers and layers of cling film.

"Every year, I wrap my tree in cling film before putting it away", the woman said.

She then proceeded to get a pair of scissors and cut away the cling film, revealing a fully decorated Christmas tree underneath, complete with tinsel, baubles and even a star on top.

The woman stated that it takes her 10 minutes to unwrap the ready made Christmas tree, far quicker than it would take to take the ornaments on and off every year.

"This gives me more time to…drink wine", the TikToker joked.

Despite the hack being a sure fire way of saving time over the busy Christmas period, it didn't appeal to a large number of the video's commenters.

One person who commented on the video said: "That takes the fun out of it. The best part is decorating it".

Suggesting that many people may want to change up the design of their Christmas tree every year, another user added: "But styles change unless you just keep it like that."

Commenting on the size of @roseroomgiftsuk's tree, a third user said: "Why? It would take 10 minutes to decorate that tiny thing".

However, some people were impressed by the woman's time-saving technique.

One TikTok user said: This is actually a genius idea."

Another added: "I did that a few years ago , it’s great."
