A WOMAN has been praised for her response to a date who asked her to split the bill the day after they’d had dinner.
The lady called Anna had gone out for the evening with a man called ‘Jason’, as the pair came face to face for their first date.
After they’d finished eating, Anna suggested she pay for herself, but, at the time, Jason said the bill was on him.
The American later explained: “I offered to pay for myself on the date which would have been 25 bucks.
“He drank so much the tab was over 100 bucks.”
However, it seems Jason quickly had a change of heart, as the next day Anna received a message from Jason asking for her share of the bill.
Anna posted screenshots of their exchange on Reddit, as she showed what he had said when he asked for her to transfer him the cash.
Jason wrote: “Good morning. I had a great time last night! After thinking it over… I think I will take you up on splitting the dinner.
“I'm going to the game today and didn't realise I spent so much last night lol. Can you Venmo me $50?”
Shocked at the message she had reciveed, Anna was almost rendered speechless.

But she soon came up with a witty response back, as she typed: “Good morning. That offer expired after we left the restaurant.
She then added: “Have fun at the game.”
And her story certainly caught the attention of other Reddit users, as they took to the post to say they would have done exactly the same.
One person wrote: “Honestly the balls to change up the ratio after it's been paid at all, let alone the next day.”
A second internet user said: “Wildddddddddddd. Definitely a great response from you.”

A third joined the conversation, as they added: “The amount of second hand embarrassment I feel for the guy is off the charts right now.”
Meanwhile, others told Anna they admired her reply, as they wouldn’t have been able to respond.
One said: “You’re a better woman than me… I wouldn’t have even responded, just blocked lol.”
Another added: “Good for you handling this awkward situation the way you did. Seriously. Proud of you.
“What this guy tried to do is an example of how not to treat anyone, ever.
