DISCOUNTER Aldi is selling a spider catcher so even the most squeamish of people can remove creepy crawlies from their home without harming them.
The new contraption contains eight-legged intruders within soft bristles so they can be safely popped outside.
Aldi says the catcher can also be used to contain moths, butterflies and daddy long legs.
And it couldn't come at a better time as spiders are expected to invade homes across Britain after torrential wet weather forced the creatures indoors.
The catcher is made with a 68cm long plastic rod, so you can get to the hardest to reach places and high ceilings where spiders tend to make cobwebs.
To use it, simply aim the bristles of the catcher toward the spider or insect before gentle squeezing the handles together to tighten the bristles.
Once the creature is contained and you’re outside, release the bristles to dispose of the insect.
The spider catcher will be sold in store and available online from August 25 and costs £7.99.
You can pre-order it from the Aldi website now but you’ll need to pay a delivery charge if you’re not buying anything else.
Orders over £20 at Aldi are free but if your package comes under this amount, you’ll be charged £2.95 for delivery – taking your total amount for just the spider catcher to £10.94.
If you’re looking to get one in store, you can find your nearest Aldi using the online branch locator.
The exact same spider catcher is currently being sold on Amazon for £14.99 plus free delivery for Prime members – just under double the amount of the Aldi offering.
Aldi was also selling door and window fly screens to help keep creepy-crawlies out.
Scientists have also revealed what exactly it is about spiders that makes them so scary.
While this PrettyLittleThing shopper was left terrified after her £110 order arrived covered in live spiders.
