Anthony Hutton was crowned the winner of Big Brother during series six and is now living a very different life, having swapped reality TV for family life.
One of Anthony's most memorable moments on the show was his steamy hot tub encounter with fellow housemate Makosi Musambasi. After taking home the cash prize Antony confessed that he went "a bit crazy" having bought a Range Rover and taken his friends to Las Vegas.
But these days, the 41 year old's life is quite different from what fans might expect, from opening his own business to welcoming his first child…
Family life
In 2016, Antony opened his own business – Mr Hutton's Barbers and Bar – where he not only trained budding barbers but also served cocktails to customers getting their hair cut. In 2019, he tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend, Sophie Crosby, and two years later, they welcomed their first child, a son named Cruz.
The happy family live together in Darlington and often share snaps of their life together on social media. "This little man has brought so much love and joy to our life," Antony gushed in one adorable photo.
The barber shop owner told fans that he was closing his business in the summer, as he wasn't renewing the lease for the shop and also wanted to spend Saturday nights with his family. But he also confirmed that a new location was underway where the Mr Hutton brand would continue.
Big Brother fame
Reflecting on how his life has changed since his BB win, he told Chronicle Live: "When I first came off the show, my life completely changed, it was just turned upside down. I went into the Big Brother house a lad from County Durham who lived at home and came out with people in the street knowing my name."
He added: "I was 23 at the time, so I did go a bit crazy. I bought a Range Rover and I took my friends to Las Vegas a few times. That being said, I also invested in a couple of properties and I bought my mum a house, so I wasn't completely wild."
Anthony also shared that he initially spent a lot of his reality TV winnings on cars and trips to Las Vegas, which led him to a 'dark place.' He confessed: "I may have won my series, but for each new season my fame dwindled."
"Even though I was making less money, that didn't stop me spending as if I was at the peak of my fortune. I knew I needed to get a job to make ends meet but I thought people would laugh at me if I did something more 'normal'.
"As a result, I got into a really dark place where I was going out all of the time and drinking a lot. I was lucky to have a good support system which made me realise that getting another job wasn't something to be ashamed of."
