Carrie Underwood is a busy mom.
The singer, 36, attended the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night, but still had to do double duty and pump breast milk for her nearly 3-month-old son, Jacob.
Underwood posted a picture on Instagram with a big smile, captioning the shot, “Getting ready for my performance…….also pumping. ???♀️ #Multitasking.”
Not only was she nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, but the “American Idol” alum also helped “This is Us” star Chrissy Metz make her on-stage singing debut. Metz, 34, sang “I’m Standing With You,” from the soundtrack for her upcoming film, “Breakthrough,” alongside Underwood as well as Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae.
The country superstar gave birth to Jacob in late January; she and husband Mike Fisher also have a 3-year-old son, Isaiah. She recently opened up about her body after baby, saying that she’s been “hard” on herself for not “bouncing back” as quickly as after her first pregnancy.
However, she also vowed to be easier on herself: “As I prepare for red carpets and for life on tour, right now I make a promise to myself to start appreciating what my body CAN do and stop focusing on what it can’t.”
