When is the Champion Chase, what’s the distance and which sort of horses can enter?

The 2019 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase will take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 15.30 (3:30pm).

It’s a Grade 1 National Hunt chase run over two miles, for horses aged five years and upwards.

Who is running in the 2019 Champion Chase?

There are a few months to go before the race, but last year’s winner Altior is a firm favourite.

Altior is currently the 11-8 favourite for the race.

However, many contenders are yet to run this season.

Who won the Champion Chase in 2018?

The scintillating Altior (Evsf) emerged victorious under Ruby Walsh for trainer Willie Mullins.

He sluiced up by 7 lengths with Min (7-1) in second.

Which jockeys and trainers have won the Arkle the most? 

Pat Taaffe and Barry Geraghty lead the jockey honours, with five wins apiece.

Tom Dreaper has been the most successful trainer with six victories.
