The family spent an eye-watering £2,900 on decorations but were left mortified when an inflatable Santa rocked up.
Kiel James Patrick and his family, believed to be from the US, wanted a huge Santa to stand outside their house.
But didn't realise how big he'd be when he arrived, reports Mirror.
Posting on TikTok as @kjp, Kiel said: "We bought a 40-foot Santa from Amazon to decorate our yard for Christmas.
"He ended up being bigger than we were expecting!"
The video then cuts to Santa being unwrapped from his box and being rolled out onto the grass in front of their home.
As they begin to blow up Father Christmas, they realise just how big he is next to the house.

Kiel said: "My four-year-old and neighbours loved it."
He later joked on the video-sharing platform: "Need to put Santa up on Airbnb, just his right leg is bigger than my living room."
The video was hit with many comments from users chuckling at the situation.
One TikTok user said: "The way it covers the entire house" followed by laughing emojis.
Another laughed: "Your goal is being able to see your house from space, isn't it? Love it!"
A third commented: "Good luck putting that back in the box."
And a fourth chimed in: "Ended up being bigger than we expected. SIR it is a 40ft Santa."
