A woman who nearly lost her life to cancer revealed how she made £15,000 from her hospital bed.
Valentina, who is in her 20s, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia – cancer of the blood and bone marrow – in 2021. After falling into a coma, the Brighton-based woman couldn't 'move or speak' and spent months in rehabilitation and undergoing chemotherapy.
And as she wasn't able to work properly due to the disease, she had no income to rely on as she was receiving life-saving treatment. Thankfully, Valentina had a plan B though.

After "dabbling" in sex work from the age of 18, the beauty realised that she could make money right from her hospital bed by selling sexy snaps. She did this whenever she had breaks from her inpatient chemotherapy.
She would spend her once-a-month weekend or week off resting – using her little energy to create saucy content. Valentina, who named herself after one of her chemo nurses, is now in remission. She claims to make thousands every month and has now become 'empowered' through her sex work.
Valentina exclusively told Daily Star: "I didn’t 'make' it properly in the industry until after I got sick, when I launched my OnlyFans properly and started creating content as a dominatrix.
"I’ve always had an interest in that area [sex work] but I hadn’t felt well for a very long time. I actually got diagnosed because I went into a coma, I woke up from a coma and found out I had cancer.
"I couldn’t talk, couldn’t move – I couldn’t anything. Once I could get on my laptop, I had to learn how to use a laptop, I started up the OnlyFans under the name of one of my nurses. So I rebranded as ‘Valentina’ who was one of my chemo nurses.
"She’s a very inspirational person, she was biker girl, really independent and I looked up to her when I was very ill. And she was really crucial to my recovery, obviously I liked the name, but it felt like a really powerful and symbolic kind of thing."
She continued: "I wasn't really doing anything for work before my diagnosis as I was so ill, but OnlyFans kind of made me that steady and stable income that managed to support me through what is a very financially difficult time.
"I had six months of inpatient chemo – and while I was doing my inpatient chemo, I was creating content on my short breaks at home.
"I’d get a weekend or a week break in between my cycles of chemo and then I’d use that content to kind of see me through hospital stays. That’s how I supported myself during that time."
Over the course of six months, Valentina, known as Mistress Valentina to fans, would pose for sexy selfies and create 'softcore' nudes.
She created the kinky content at home in bulk and teased out the naughty posts while she was in hospital. She managed to make £15,000 – averaging on £2,500 a month – during her inpatient treatment.
The tattooed model even used her new hairless appearance to her advantage and get 'creative' with a number of wigs and bold makeup.
She wanted to make sure that she had enough income to support herself for when she got better so she could begin her life as a 'well' person – and she's definitely achieved this.
Valentina is now financially independent because of her sex work. She said: "While I was in hospital, specifically, I made £15,000 in six months.
"I was creating that content every break I had from hospital, which was a weekend to a week every month. In that period I would do it, and I don’t know how I found the energy to do it.
"I think I was almost feeling a bit high on life as I went into remission very quickly. I basically wanted to get out of that period and be able to start my life properly as a well person.
"I was doing a lot of softcore nude, not particularly graphic or anything but softcore, sort of titillating content. Things like a*se worship, body worship and that sort of thing, so videos showing my a*se and racy pictures.
"I’d get really creative with my makeup and my wigs as I had no hair on my face at all so it was big eyelashes, drawing on different coloured eyebrows and crazy hair. We [me and fans] would mostly joke about it, a dark humour kind of thing.
"They weren’t laughing at me or anything like that, it was more that they were laughing with me – the ludicrous situation, and the fact that I would be messaging them while I was in hospital and then my content would be filmed when I was home.
"I would drip feed it out but they would know I was in hospital. So it was almost like we had a good laugh about it."
Two years on, Valentina allegedly makes £6,000-£10,000 a month through OnlyFans, webcamming and her dominatrix services. Although she's in the clear for now, the busty model still has to go for check-up appointments to monitor her health.
However, if she does fall ill again, Valentina knows her fans will be there to support her financially – and keep her spirits alive with their shared 'dark' sense of humour.
“The chemo I had is really toxic and has a lot of long-term side effects, it can cause heart damage," Valentina candidly explained. "Obviously, there's a chance I can relapse at any point so I need to have really close monitoring in hospital.

"I still go to see my oncologist every six months. And that's only just gone down to every six months because it's two years now.
“There’s always a chance that it could come back. Acute Myeloid Leukaemia is a very deadly cancer and it can relapse really quite easily but it’s been two years and obviously, the longer that I’m in remission, the less likely it’s going to come back.
"But I do know that obviously the supporters that I built on OnlyFans when I was in hospital, they would support me if I were to relapse and they’d be really good about it."
