DEAR DEIDRE: I GET nervous when I’m in a small group of people and struggle to think of things to say.
I have struggled for years with low self-esteem, always worrying what other people think of me.
I think it stems from my childhood, which lacked love. I loved my dad, but he was always working.
I’m a man of 31. It’s got to the stage where I think I am boring to others.
I use any excuse to leave parties or not go out at all. I’ll happily stay in watching TV with a pizza.
