It’s good news for anyone who can’t stand the idea of slaving over a hot stove on Christmas day – Iceland has announced the much anticipated return of the famous Festive Pie.
The British frozen food giants revealed the news to the delight of fans, after it was absent from its freezers for the last four Christmases.
The unique pie is highly coveted by shoppers because it contains an entire Christmas dinner – plus all the trimmings.
And those on a budget this festive season will be pleased to know that a box of two Festive Pies retails for £3, meaning you can essentially tuck into a Christmas dinner for just £1.50.
Encased inside the pie’s shortcrust pastry are helpings of diced turkey, sage and onion stuffing, and one sizeable pig in a blanket – a pork cocktail sausage wrapped in streaky bacon.
And as with a traditional Christmas dinner, it wouldn’t be complete without delightful seasonal sides to finish it off.

He added: ‘Since we launched the Festive Pie in 2019, we have been inundated with customers asking for its return, so we’re delighted to bring it back this year.

‘Perfect for those who want a slice of the festive action ahead of Christmas Day, we are already seeing shoppers stock up’.
A box of two Festive Pies will set you back £3.00, and it’s available both in-store and online at Iceland and The Food Warehouse only.
But you’ll have to be quick, as the merry pie is only on offer while stocks last.
The news comes as Iceland had their shoppers in a frenzy once more after releasing yet another Christmas item.

Shoppers have been going wild over an ‘amazing’ new festive dessert made with one of the UK’s favourite chocolate bars.
Earlier this month, the Facebook page NewFoodUK – where shoppers post about new products hitting supermarket shelves – shared an image of Iceland’s new Galaxy Yule Log.
The savvy shopper, from the UK, posted a picture holding the sweet treat and wrote: ‘Galaxy Yule Log spotted at Iceland Foods.’
The post was quick to rack up over 2,500 ‘likes’ and hundreds of comments from excited foodies.
One person said: ‘Might have to get one of these, I love Galaxy chocolate.’
Another user, who was previously ruled out the festive treat for the year, appeared to have a change of heart: ‘I know we weren’t going to get one but we need this!’
More were super keen on Galaxy’s latest festive dessert, with one saying: ‘Love Galaxy chocolate’.
Another user said that the yule log ‘looks amazing’, while a different account described the cake as ‘delicious’, before enquiring about its price.
A self-proclaimed yule lover was also eager to taste the rich treat: ‘Love yule can’t wait to try some’.
However, one user felt it was too chocolatey for them and said: ‘Could be a bit sickly!’
Iceland’s new Galaxy chocolate-flavoured yule log has proven so popular that it’s currently out of stock, but shoppers hope to see it listed back on the site soon.
But not everyone was so convinced – with some suggesting the £10 price tag was too high for the festive season.
One user thought £10 was a little too steep – they joked: ‘Could be yours only for two mortgages and three horses!’
