DEAR DEIDRE: I’D love nothing more than to be in a relationship, but I’m petrified of joining dating apps because of my awful spelling.
I worry anyone I speak to will assume I’m dull and it’s starting to hold me back.
I’m a 25-year-old woman and I was diagnosed as dyslexic as a child.
While I know I’m not stupid, I can’t spell for the life of me.
I’ve always been discouraged about using dating apps because I know men will probably judge me for the way I type, but it’s quickly started to dawn on me how difficult it is to meet people.
I’ve tried my best to date organically, but nothing has come of it and I’ve started to lose hope.
I’m desperate to meet someone, but downloading the apps feels daunting.
Every time I even text anyone I feel self-conscious. What if I give the wrong impression?

DEIDRE SAYS: Online dating is hard at the best of times, so I can only imagine how difficult it must feel for you.
But if someone were to judge you for your spelling mistakes, are they the kind of person you would want to be with?
Ultimately, the right person will like you for who you are and your spelling won’t matter.
Read my support packs Love Online and Finding The Love Of Your Life, they will hopefully help.
