While she’s usually making headlines for her latest performance, Coronation Street actress Katherine Kelly was turning heads for an entirely different reason when she arrived at the Dancing with Heroes ball alongside Line of Duty star Tony Pitts on Saturday 26 November 2022.
Attending the fundraiser at the Landmark Hotel in London together, it’s reported the Corrie star, 43, and fellow actor, Tony, 60, have been in a relationship for “some time” following Katherine’s split from ex-husband Ryan Clark two years ago.
According to pals, the soap star has even introduced Tony to her family with a source telling The Sun: “They have kept their relationship out of the spotlight but have attended a number of events together this year including Royal Ascot and the ITV Palooza earlier this month.”
"At the Dancing With Heroes ball Kelly couldn't keep her hands off Tony and was stroking the back of his head all evening.”
“They have met one another's families and went on holiday together with their respective children earlier this year.”
“Katherine is incredibly happy with Tony and it's clear they are a really good match.”
Katherine and Tony went public with their romance at the ball, sharing photos together from inside the event on Instagram.
Though they’ve so far remained very quiet about details of the new relationship, it’s believed the couple first met in 2019 when they worked on short film, Affection, together.
At the time, Katherine was still married to IT consultant Ryan Clark. After meeting in Ryan’s native Australia, they got married in Las Vegas in 2013.
They welcomed their first child, Orla Kelly Clark, in 2014. Their second daughter, Rose Christie Clark, was born two years later in October 2016.
After seven years of marriage, the couple made the “difficult” decision to go their separate ways in April 2020.
Following the split, Katherine moved back to her hometown Barnsley with her daughter from the North London family home.
Best known for playing Becky McDonald in long-running soap, Coronation Street, from 2006 – 2012, British actress Katherine Kelly has a roster of roles under her belt.
Since leaving the cobbles, she’s starred in a number of gritty dramas including Liar in the role of DI Karen Renton, Sally Wright in Innocent, and as Jodie Shackleton in Happy Valley.
She’s also had parts in Gentleman Jack, Mr Selfridge, and The Night Manager to name a few.
She’s currently starring in Sky Comedy series Bloods.
Katherine’s new boyfriend Tony is also a household name for British TV fans.
Most commonly recognised for his role as DCS Lester Hargreaves on Line of Duty, he also started off in soaps, spending ten years playing Archie Brooks on Emmerdale.
He’s also had roles in Peaky Blinders, Jamestown, and All Creatures Great and Small.
