As Marie Kondo celebrates turning 37, we can't help but marvel over how young the star looks.
The tidying expert and best selling author rose to international fame after her series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo was released on Netflix, and has written four books on organising that have been published in more than 30 countries.
It seems Marie Kondo doesn't just inspire people with her motivational tidying advice and tips, as the star looks younger than ever we want her tips on her youthful appearance too.
Her glowing skin has us beauty fans distracted, and luckily for us her makeup artist has given a run down on her beauty routine.
Megumi Asai, LA-based makeup artist to the star, reveals Marie's top tips to her glowing skin, speaking to The Cut on all the insider information we can't miss out on.
Megumi shares that luckily for the tidying guru, she does have a good base to begin with, stating: "Her skin is flawless, like porcelain".
She continues: "Even as a young person, she was always interested in tidying rather than playing sports or other things outdoors, so I’m sure that helped to keep her skin from excessive sun exposure.
"She also always wears sunscreen and a hat whenever she goes outside, and her diet is based on healthy, home-cooked Japanese food.
"She brought her own bento box and (a Japanese fermented-rice drink rich in vitamins and digestive enzymes to promote beautiful skin, among many other benefits) that she’d made every day for the shoot."
Makeup artist Megumi Asai then goes on to share which must-have products she uses on the star. "Marie’s skin-care routine involves using Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser (buy for £49.95 here) followed by THREE Balancing Emulsion for moisturizer (buy for £67.95 here) and a spritz of rose water.
"I also use Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Conditioner (buy for £33 here) on her. She loves products made from natural ingredients, and it smells great, too."
To create her glowing makeup look, Megumi shared she used Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (buy for £34 here) which gives you smooth, fresh, glowing skin. I use it under sheer foundation. You don’t need a lot.
"Her skin is so beautiful that the makeup was not to hide imperfections — I used a minimum amount of it to let the skin shine through.
"I selected colours that gave her brightness: Le Blush Crème de Chanel in Intonation and Affinité (buy for £37 here), and Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick in Pink Cherry. For long days, instead of fixing her makeup with more powder (which makes it cakey-looking), I used Tatcha’s Japanese oil-blotting paper (buy for £13 here) to keep the makeup natural-looking."
