Model born ‘trapped in man’s body’ to compete in Miss BumBum after transitioning

A transgender model is hoping to scoop the Miss BumBum title.

Sâmella Vinter hopes winning the Brazilian beauty contest will help to break down barriers and show others she’s a “true woman”.

The 38-year-old said: “My motivation is to show trans beauty to the world. I want to break down prejudice and show the true woman that I am.”

The star is representing the Brazilian state of Pará and hopes her 43-inch booty will impress the judges.

She’s had plenty of practice posing ahead of the catwalk event as she starred in Playboy magazine in 2019.

Sâmella has no fears about showing off the results of her plastic surgery either.

The Miss BumBum contestant spent $100,000 (around £72,000) on gender reassignment surgery she got done in Thailand.

She said: "I was born a woman trapped in a man's body, and unlike other trans women, I always wanted to talk about my surgery.

"It was the right country for me to have the surgery there."

Now that she’s finally comfortable in her own skin, Sâmella is ready to wow the pageant judges.

She faces stiff competition at the annual contest though.

Currently there are 27 candidates battling for the crown.

Then on May 1, voting will open so the top 15 models can be selected.

These ladies will then battle it for the “best bum in Brazil” title.

The official announcement of the winner will come out in July.

So who is Sâmella up against?
