In the clip, which has so far been 43,000 times, Chrissy can be seen removing a large block of cheese from its original packet before putting it in a separate bag and sealing it.
‘I don’t know why but I saw it on the internet and so this is what I do now,’ she said, captioning the clip: ‘Is this everyone, or just me?’
But, according to the comments, it is quite the divisive topic as one argued :’No. then the cheese will taste like Ziploc.’
And others were quick to offer their own solutions.
‘I put it in a paper towel and then in a glass container,’ one TikToker wrote.
‘If you wrap it with a paper towel then in foil and put in a Pyrex bowl it lasts so much longer!!’ a second claimed.
‘We’ve always just covered the exposed end and it lasts just fine,’ agreed another.
‘Yea but I thought you are supposed to wrap it in something like parchment paper,’ one user argued.

The one thing everyone can agree on in that that all cheese needs to be kept in a refrigerator – at around 35 degrees.
According to the online cooking magazine, Epicurious, there is a correct way to store cheese – but it can depend on the type of cheese.
Erika Kubick, former cheese monger, told the publication balancing the moisture is the hardest part of storing cheese, as too little moisture and it will dry out and too much will make it go bad.
However, he says ‘do not’ wrap your leftover cheese in plastic wrap.
‘It traps moisture, which can help mold to form,’ Kubick explained.
Instead, the expert says using a glass container with a vent to let the cheese breathe is a good option.
Martha Stewart also suggests leaving the plastic wrap for other foods.
‘The best way to wrap cheese is to use cheese paper, a special type of thick paper coated on one side with a combination of wax and polyethylene,’ she explained.
‘You can buy cheese paper online and at specialty food and cheese shops.
She added: ‘If you’re unable to find it, parchment paper – a lighter paper coated on one side with silicone that’s often used in baking -is a very good, and much cheaper.’
