‘Great tip! How have I gone my whole life without knowing this? I always forget to take the butter out,’ another added.

But not everyone was on board, with many saying they would rather just put the butter in the microwave for eight or nine seconds to soften it.

‘Or just put it in the microwave for nine seconds,’ one person commented.

Another added: ‘I would never put boiling water in a glass as it would shatter it’.

A foodie has taken the internet by storm after she shared a clip revealing how she makes sure she has the perfect amount of baking paper in her cake tin every time (pictured doing it)

Australian cooking enthusiast Mon Mack posted on TikTok, where she explained how she cuts a circle of baking paper to fit the bottom of her tin by following a simple ‘life hack’ (steps pictured)

This isn’t the first cooking ‘life hack’ to go viral, as previously a foodie shared her trick for making sure you get the right amount of baking paper every time.

Australian cooking enthusiast Mon Mack posted on TikTok, where she explained how she cuts a circle of baking paper to fit the bottom of her tin by following a simple ‘life hack’, and you can do it too.

Demonstrating how she does it in a short video, Mon said she first cuts a piece of baking paper, which she then folds it into a square, and then a triangle.

Following this, she folds the triangle again to turn it into a point shape, and then she puts the tip directly in the centre of a circular cake tin to measure it.

Then, all you need to do is cut away the excess baking paper from around the outside and expand what is left.

You should be left with the perfect circle inside your cake tin.
