Names once thought of as "old lady" or "old gentleman" names are fast becoming popular picks for newborns.
The favourite "old lady chic" name at the moment is Ada, which means "noble" or "of nobility", according to The Bump. It's a girl's name of German origin, derived from Adelaide. It's a hit in Scandinavian countries thanks to its mix of old-world charm and modern vibes.
It is closely followed by Agatha, Agnes, and Alethea. The charming names, which all start with A, are becoming trendy choices for new parents as many "vintage" options are now seen as "cool" again, the Mirror reports.

However, Baby Centre says that names parents might have snubbed in recent years are now seen as cute. Some parents are naming their babies after family members who have passed away, linking the names to the older generation.
