Many Brits will enjoy a strong cup of tea in the morning, but in the morning rush – many might not brew their cuppa for as long needed.
While most experts recommend brewing a cup of English Breakfast Tea for three to five minutes, 85 per cent of Brits say they leave the bag in for less than a minute.
In a bid to make better drinks across the nation, PG Tips has invested a whopping £50million to make its ‘best ever blend’ which they claim only needs to be brewed for 30 seconds.
Its team of expert tea blenders have developed a completely new blend, bag and look for the product to deliver a perfect cuppa, quicker, for the British tea drinker every time.
The blended uses fresh high-quality ‘shoots’ of the tea bush and the new blend includes tea grown at high altitude in Kenya & Rwanda to give a fresher and more flavourful uplift – along with a brighter golden hue.

The company is also launching a new PG Tips Gold.
The new bag is the optimum size; with enough room to allow the leaves to rapidly infuse in the bag – but compact enough to ensure the bag does not fold in on itself, which would otherwise limit infusion.
The tea, PG Tips claim, is the perfect particle size to move freely around the bag for quick, consistent brewing.
The result is stand-out flavour release which creates a refreshing, smooth and full-bodied taste.
It comes after the tea brand discovered that 85 per cent of the nation’s tea drinkers leave their tea bag in water for less than a minute, with close to half (45 per cent) taking less than 30 seconds.
As a result, the new blend and bag have been designed to deliver a perfect cuppa even at the shortest brewing times.
Not only this, but new more sustainable packaging will be used – which is stronger and more durable on shelf and designed to have no plastic overwrap. It is fully plant-based and recyclable, and 33 per cent more compact than the current box so can fit in the kitchen cupboard more easily.
The new PG Tips is the result of a major investment programme by LIPTON Teas and Infusions, its owner and the world’s leading tea company.

It is part of its commitment to elevate the black tea drinking experience while driving more shared value for all, from plant to cup.
As part of the programme the company has spent £40million on new machinery and training to make the new blend at its Trafford Park site in Greater Manchester, which is celebrating its centenary this year.
PG Tips General Manager, UK and Ireland Liam McNamara said: ‘We are immensely proud of the fact that British tea drinkers already enjoy five billion cups of PG Tips every year.
‘PG Tips is one of the best known and best-loved drinks brands in the country and by far the best-known tea.
‘However, our tea-drinking habits and tastes are evolving.
‘With that in mind, our expert tea-blenders have spent two years developing a new and better blend that delivers high quality taste to tea lovers.
‘Our new PG Tips blend means consumers can expect a quicker infusion and a brighter, smoother, more consistent cup of tea that is full of flavour every single time, even for the nation’s impatient tea-drinkers.
‘We hope our new PG Tips inspires a fresh perspective with every sip, because it’s our most perfect, full-bodied and refreshing blend ever.’
PG Tips’ new Original, Gold and Decaf blends are being rolled out nationwide now.
