Easter bank holiday weekend has arrived in the UK, with families allowed to meet up in gardens across the UK for the first time in months. There are bank holidays on both Friday and Monday, making it a rare four-day weekend. But with some Covid restrictions still in place, this Easter will likely be very different to previous years.
If you’re caught short in the kitchen, you can still pop out to grab some last-minute Easter supplies, however.
The ‘stay at home’ message has been lifted across England, but there are still a number of Covid restrictions still in place.
There’s the return of the Rule of 6 for outdoor settings, but you should still minimise travel wherever possible.
Express.co.uk has compiled all of the weekend’s opening hours for Sainsbury’s this bank holiday.
What time is Sainsbury’s open this bank holiday weekend?
Sainsbury’s doesn’t have any blanket guide for their Easter opening hours this year, but we’ve got rough guide.
If you’re thinking of heading out to your local Sainsbury’s, it’s always a good idea to check your store’s opening hours using the store locator.
On Good Friday, most Sainsbury’s stores should still be following their usual trading hours across the country.
For larger stores, that means Sainsbury’s will remain open between 8am and 8pm.

Easter opening hours: What time do Lidl, Aldi and Sainsbury’s open [EXPLAINER]
The following day, Saturday, isn’t a national bank holiday, so shops should be remaining open throughout the day.
However, this weekend is also Easter Sunday, which means most retail shops across the country will be closed.
Large Sainsbury’s stores will be closed for Easter Sunday, although some smaller ones may still be open.
It’s definitely worth checking the store locator to find out specific opening times before heading out on the Sunday.
Easter Monday will be the final bank holiday day of the long weekend.
Sainsbury’s store will largely follow a similar pattern to Good Friday, meaning they’ll be open for the majority of the day.
Larger stores are expected to remain open between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
But, as always, it’s a good idea to check the store locator before heading out to the shops.
The government’s ‘stay at home’ order was lifted at the end of last month, but you should still only venture out for essential shopping.
You can only meet up with five other people in outdoor spaces, or two households.
Indoor mixing between households is still completely banned and should be avoided, the government has urged.
If you go into a Sainsbury’s this weekend, you should also still remember to wear a face covering, unless you’re exempt.
