See Priyanka Chopra’s latest wedding look from Mumbai reception

Newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrate marriage with family photocall in New Delhi. (Dec. 4)

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas returned to India, the site of their three-day wedding earlier this month, for a Wednesday reception in Mumbai celebrating their nuptials.

This time, Chopra wore a navy ballgown embroidered with metallic flowers and matching dupatta shawl, both from Indian designer Sabyasachi, who also crafted the red ensemble she wore during the couple’s Hindu ceremony.

Sabyasachi, who described the effect as “India-modern” offered a closer look at the strapless gown and details on its construction on his Instagram page Thursday.

He revealed it was actually two pieces: a brocade corset and matching lehenga (skirt) from his Curiosity, Art and Antiquity Project. The borders on the gown were tea-stained and acid-burned to give them a patina of age.

But the real showstopper was Chopra’s huge Victorian diamond necklace, which she paired with a stack of silver bangles on her left wrist.

The couple married the first weekend in December with a three-part extravaganza that included a Puja (a Hindu prayer ritual), a Mehndi ceremony in which the bride’s skin is decorated with intricate henna art and a Christian ceremony officiated by Jonas’ father. For that service, Chopra wore a white Ralph Lauren gown and 75-foot train.

December has kind of turned into a month-long wedding for the couple. They even attended another couple’s wedding: that of Isha Ambani, which was also attended by former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry and featured a pre-nuptial concert by Beyoncé.
