When it comes to Christmas presents, designer perfumes are one of the top gifts on everyone’s list this year, with searches for them skyrocketing as we head into December.
However, luxury fragrances often come with luxury price tags, and some of our favourite scents can end up setting us back more than £100, making them a pretty big splurge, particularly when you’re on a budget.
If you’ve been looking for amore affordable perfumethat still smells expensive and chic to either give as a gift or keep as a little treat for yourself, you might want to check outAvon’s selection of fragrances.
Long gone are the days when Avon products were bought exclusively from your mum’s mega catalogue – now you canshop the brand onlineor in one of its physical stores across the nation, and it turns out itsperfumesare not only affordable, but they smell fantastic too.
One Avon fragrance has been garnering quite a bit of attention on social media lately, with shoppers raving about how expensive the Little Black Dress Lace Eau de Parfum, £12 here, smells and how long it lasts.
The 50ml bottle has top notes of citrus, with floral jasmine heart notes and a deep base note of amber, which just so happen to be almost exactly the same fragrance notes found in one particularly popular bottle perfume.
Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle, £99 here for 50ml, has similar top notes of citrusy orange, with floral heart notes of jasmine and rose. It finishes with base notes of patchouli and vetiver, which has woody, earthy notes that are similar to amber.
Although not a direct ‘dupe’ for the Chanel perfume, there’s no denying that Avon’s Little Black Dress Lace Eau de Parfum, £12 here, is a pretty perfect alternative to the luxury fragrance, and at just £12 for 50ml rather than £99, it’s easy to see why so many people have been snapping it up to add to their fragrance collection.
Marks and Spencer also has another affordable perfume that’s said to smell just like Coco Mademoiselle, with its Soft Iris Eau de Toilette, £10 here, getting plenty of reviews from shoppers saying it “Smells just like the real thing” and “Lovely smelling perfume smells just like an expensive brand.”
It’s not just the M&S fragrance that’s been getting praise, asAvon's perfume also has some glowing reviews from shoppers, with one saying: “Another beautiful evening perfume. The Little Black Dress collections haven't failed to deliver. This is another scent, that evolves as it blends with your body.”
Another wrote: “Smells as good as an expensive perfume. Get lovely comments when I wear this.
A third said: “A new favourite of mine! Smells Devine I’ve had lots of comments on how nice the perfume is! And for the price can’t complain!” whilst others admired its longevity, saying: “Has a lovely smell and it lasts long.”
