SHOPS are selling super-sized “turkeys” for as much as £350.
That is the price of upmarket department store Fortnum & Mason’s “ultimate centrepiece” — a ten-bird roast.
A turkey, a chicken, two partridges, two mallards, two pheasants and two pigeons are all combined into one roast, tied to resemble a whole bird.
The store’s blurb says: “Exclusive to Fortnum & Mason, this extraordinary creation features a delectable blend of ten birds and six species.
“(The birds) have been combined into this neat roast, tied to resemble a whole bird, while remaining completely boneless through the middle for ease of carving.
“Between these layers of succulent bird lies a deliciously festive cranberry, orange and rosemary pork stuffing.
