Things have not been going swimmingly since Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) got her positive test result in Neighbours. It should be all gender reveal parties and baby showers in her future, but right now it looks like she might not even get that far when she and her baby find themselves in danger.
And all because she’s pushing herself too hard to curry David’s (Takaya Honda) favour. After her confession about the money theft, David has been more than displeased with his baby mama and is regretting the whole affair. But he should be careful what he wishes for because Nicolette’s breaking point is fast approaching and it puts both her and the baby at risk.
Unaware of how hard she’s working to earn his trust, David still hates her guts and is letting her know it. Though she tries to appease him it’s not working, and some seriously unhelpful advice from Aaron (Matt Wilson) only makes things worse – he tells her to push herself harder to get David back onside.
Despite his bad advice, Aaron does also try and intervene to help out. He confronts David about his behaviour towards Nicolette and tells him how hard she is pushing herself. Will it do any good?
Meanwhile, Nicolette is trying to contend with David, Ricardo and Jane’s (Anne Jones) woes right now and it’s all far too much for the mum to be.
Her stress is escalating from Ricardo’s gross offer, and things are only about to get worse. She refuses his indecent proposal, and while at first it seems he accepts her decision, he has something even worse in store for her, and it pushes her over the edge.
The result is that Nicolette is found collapsed by David. He rushes her to the hospital, guilt crippling him as he worries that there’s something very wrong with her or the baby and all because of him. He can now see how much damage his behaviour is doing, he realises he has to change or he risks losing everything. Has he realised he wants the baby after all when it’s too late?
Scenes air from Monday 18th January on Channel 5.
