Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has proudly announced her son Caben-Albi has been “moved up” a year group in school “early”.
The proud single mum, 26, made the gushing announcement about her son’s achievement as she shared a photo of him wearing a purple school jumper with a white shirt underneath as he sits on a sofa and grins.
The actress, who plays Sinead O’Connor on Hollyoaks, then told her 944,000 Instagram followers: “Proud mum post. So Caben is really advanced for his age and absolutely thriving at the moment, he’s been visiting pre school for a while now , he loves it and doesn’t’ like going back to the nursery class.
“It would be unfair to keep him there when he gets frustrated because he wants to be doing and learning more.
“His speech, potty training (he now goes stood up like a big boy) has numbers etc, So they have decided to move him up early!
“He went in so happy today, and feel so proud that he’s doing so well”. [sic]
She then gushed: “How grown up in his uniform,” which she paired with a smiley emoji surrounded by hearts.
The actress recently admitted finding it “hard” being a single mum. During a question and answer session on her Instagram stories, Stephanie was asked by a follower if she finds being a single mum “hard”.
Stephanie Davis' relationships: Who has the Hollyoaks star been romantically involved with?
In response, she wrote: “Yes of course it’s hard sometimes, but worth every second.
“You just get on with it. It’s only been me and him from the beginning so we know no different, we have the most amazing bond because of it”.
The single mum later revealed she’s “really really good,” despite her recent split from Hollyoaks co-star Owen Warner.
Stephanie and Owen, 20, dated for around nine months, during which the couple moved in together and Caben started calling Owen “dad”.
She revealed her son’s close bond with Owen, who plays Romeo Quinn in the E4 soap, in a gushing post about him on Father’s Day earlier this year.
But, a matter of months later, Stephanie’s rep exclusively confirmed to OK! online that the pair were no longer together after a source told The Sun Online: “They decided to end it today and Steph is insisting there's no going back.
“She couldn't be more devastated as she saw a real future with Owen, particularly as he’s been a father figure to Caben.
“Steph is absolutely heartbroken and devastated it's over – she wanted to be with Owen forever and now all of a sudden she's mourning the loss of him in her and Caben's lives.”
Since her breakup, Stephanie’s other ex boyfriend and biological father to Caben, Jeremy McConnell, said he felt Caben referring to Owen as “daddy” was “really distasteful”.
During an interview with the MailOnline, Jeremy, 29, who is expecting his second child with girlfriend Katie McCreath, 35, said: “I can't speak about it much for legal reasons, but Steph is doing a great job. She’s doing really well and I know she’s a good mum.
“But you can imagine how hard it was for me. Some 20-year-old being called dad in her last relationship. I thought the whole thing was really distasteful.”
