Student slams PrettyLittleThing for dress that barely covers UNDERWEAR

‘It’s public indecency!’ Student hits out at PrettyLittleThing over a skimpy £20 thigh split dress that barely covered her UNDERWEAR

  • Jessica Saunders, from Kent, bought the PLT thigh split plunge bodycon dress
  • Design looked totally different when it arrived, leaving little to the imagination
  • Jessica shared frustration online Tweeting she ‘would get arrested’ if she wore it
  • Another shopper has previously slammed the same dress in a Twitter rant

A student has hit out at PrettyLittleThing’s sizing after being sent a little black dress that ‘could get her arrested for public indecency.’

Jessica Saunders from Kent purchased a size 6 Black Extreme Thigh Split Panelled Plunge Bodycon Dress from the online fashion giant in the run-up to New Year celebrations.

And she was a little shocked when she tried on the dress, which is her usual size, only to discover it left little to the imagination.

She took to social media and tweeted the brand, saying: ‘Who on earth is this made for?? People who want to get arrested for public indecency??’

Criminology student Jessica shared her tweet alongside a picture of herself wearing the dress.

Unlike the website’s model shot, which showed the dress exposing a flash of the thigh, the design Jessica received was cut right above her hip forcing her to use an emoji to cover her modesty.

She has since returned the dress but it appears the brand is yet to respond to her Tweet.

MailOnline has contacted PrettyLittleThing for comment.

Jessica is not the first shopper to have slammed the online retailer’s designs. Last month, Ashley Nicole Teran, 23 from Miami, shared her shock over the very same dress

Dubbing it the ‘worst purchase’ she’s ever made, the split of the black dress rose above her knicker-line.

‘The team got in touch with Ashley after seeing the tweet and offered for her to return the item for a full refund as well as any postage cost incurred,’ a spokesperson for the brand told Femail.

It’s the latest in a string of sizing fails by online fashion brands.

Earlier in December, Lucy Anderson-Roberts was left red-faced after an item she bought left her nipples exposed.

The 27-year-old was horrified when a £5 top she bought, also from PrettyLittleThing, featured rips positioned over her breasts rather than her stomach as per the model image.

A Boohoo shopper was equally upset to discover a pair of size 14 trousers barely fit around one of her thighs.

It comes as a recent test by Good Morning Britain revealed that 83 per cent are forced to buy a larger size online, while one in three women say it has negative impact on their self-esteem.
