Truth be told, I have a love-hate relationship with “plumping” lip products. While I love the idea of them and some do work really well at giving me fuller lips as advertised, I don’t exactly love the tingling that typically goes hand-in-hand with lip plumpers. Fortunately, a new product just came out promising to deliver the smoother and plumper-looking lips you want without any weird sensations. According to early reviews, it lives up to that promise! Best part, it’s pretty affordable at only $13.
The Inkey List, the affordable skincare brand that counts Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, and Gemma Chan among its users, released their Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm. It’s described as a product that hydrates, repairs, and plumps lips to give you a naturally fuller and healthier look. Not only that, it was “specifically formulated for maximum fullness” without any of the burning, tingling, or irritating side effects that other plumping lip balms, glosses, and treatments tend to give you. If you ask me, that’s a huge win in itself and makes it worthy of trying. The product is made with hyaluronic acid to help retain moisture and fill fine lines.
While the product recently dropped, reviwers who had early access to it already gave it rave reviews. As one wrote, “I RARELY ever write reviews. Something has to be truly good and believe me, this definitely is! Of course it’s not going to give you Angelina Jolie’s ‘poufy lips’ if you have thin lips, but it definitely plumps without any burning or stinging like some others I’ve tried. I hope they never stop making this. I use it every day!”
Multiple reviewers mentioned loving how fast the product worked. “After the first use I already knew this was going to be a hit!” one said. “Makes my lips feel so moistened and I can already see results after one week! I am excited to see the final results.”
Finally, one reviewer called it “the perfect balm.” They wrote, “So, I have been using my gifted-by-Inkey List plumping lip balm for around three weeks now and my lips are feeling so much smoother, fuller, and a lot more hydrated. I love how the product does not tingle at all like many other brands products. I can’t wait to see the end result once I have used the whole product.”
