Zara Tindall looked sharp in an elegant two-piece suit today as she arrived for a Christmas meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse.

King Charles’s niece, 42, was seen heading into the racecourse near Gloucestershire, with her husband Mike Tindall, 45, as they prepared for day one of the venue’s seasonal festivities.

Zara, who is the daughter of Princess Anne, cut a stylish figure in a grey knit blazer and matching trousers.

Making a stylish choice for the wintry weather, the royal teamed the look with a navy blue jumper and a glossy pair of black leather gloves.

For her footwear, she donned black chunky suede boots which paired perfectly with the smart ensemble.

The mother-of-three added a dash of personal style by way of a ruched maroon red headband, which she placed towards the centre of her hair.

She accesorised the look with a glittering pair of medium-sized gold hoops and a coordinating gold and leather shoulder bag.

She looked typically chic as she sported a nude make-up look, adding just a smidge of black mascara and dark brown eyebrow gel to finish.

Meanwhile her husband Mike Tindall looked dashing in a smart navy blue suit jacket, crisp blue shirt and a maroon-red tie.

The former rugby international and MBE was seen arriving with Phil Vickery and other esteemed guests as they made their way across the grounds.

The husband and wife were photographed arriving at the parade ring at Cheltenham Racecourse in the cheeriest of spirits.

The Olympian was also spotted having a joyous time while attending her cousin-in-law Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey last week Friday.

The royal was accompanied by her brother Peter Phillips, 46, with both putting on a cheerful display as they entered the Christmas service.

Zara looked radiant in deep purple winter coat. She accessorised the outfit with a matching pair of statement earrings shoes and a crocodile leather bag.

She opted for a simple yet elegant makeup look for the occasion, complete with a nude lip and a touch of eyeliner.

Zara, who recently announced she’s gone part-time in her equestrian career so that she can be around more for her three children, styled her blonde tresses in a slicked back bun for the occasion.

Zara appeared to attend the event without her husband Mike Tindall.

Instead, her brother, Peter Phillips, the eldest grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied her this evening, alongside his daughters Savanah, 12, and Isla, 11.

The purpose of the concert, which was also be attended by King Charles and Queen Camilla, was to ‘recognise the selfless efforts of communities throughout the UK, highlighting the importance of coming together to support one another’.

Spearheaded by the Princess, it has been designed to bring together people of all faiths – and of none – by combining both traditional and modern elements.

The news comes as the equestrian champion and eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, revealed that her professional horse-riding career has become ‘very part-time now’ so she can spend more time with her three young children.

In an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly magazine, Zara – who won silver in a team event for Britain at the 2012 London Olympics – revealed how her approach to competitive horse-riding shifted after she had children.

Zara, and her husband Mike Tindall – ex-rugby player and former reality show contestant – are parents to Mia, nine, and Lena, five, and son Lucas, two.

‘I’m very part-time now,” she told the magazine. ‘I’ve only got four horses so hopefully I have enough time to care for my children and still compete. I hope I make better decisions. I definitely don’t go to everything now.’

‘When I had 15 horses I was everywhere and away every weekend but now I very much pick [events] around the kids and holidays and try to be around as much as I can be.’

Known as much for her sporting prowess as her sartorial choices, Zara attends equestrian events around the world, both as a formidable athlete when she is competing and as a trend-setting fashionista when she is a spectator.

Her illustrious career includes a gold at the European Eventing Championships in 2005 and a silver at the World Equestrian Games in 2006.

Zara has also previously been crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year and has been nicknamed the Royal Olympian.

In an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly magazine revealed that her professional horse-riding career has become ‘very part-time now’ so she can spend more time with her three young children.

On motherhood, Zara spoke candidly about her struggles to get her body back into shape after having children, describing pregnancy as a “shock to your system’ and how your body changes so much.

She told the magazine that childbirth alongside the natural aging process was a ‘huge thing for women’, and for her, the added dimension as a professional sportswoman meant some of the physical changes caught her by surprise.

For instance, Zara admitted that it took her a long time to realise she couldn’t maintain the same regime she had when she was younger – such as what food she ate and the types of exercises she did.

But the hard lessons she learnt, Zara said, will put her in good stead to teach her children.

She said she will teach her daughters to constantly check how their bodies are doing and changing, Zara said, because women ‘definitely’ have it harder than men, referring to the various hormonal changes the female body goes through such as menopause.

Despite competing in fewer professional equestrian events so she can spend more time with her family, Zara said she will probably ‘always’ feel guilty when she’s away from the children but she has come to accept this as part of being a mother.
