    Arsenal have officially announced the arrival of Pablo Mari from Flamengo.

    Better late than never…


    Jerome Boateng will reportedly NOT be leaving Bayern Munich this month, according to AZ.

    The 31-year-old emerged as a top target for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta looked to strengthen his defence.

    It was widely reported that Boateng was keen to leave the German club after falling down the pecking order.

    But the German star is set to continue the 2019/20 campaign with the Bundesliga giants.


    Flamengo have said an official farewell to Pablo Mari ahead of his switch to Arsenal.

    It reads: “The time has come to say goodbye to this defender who arrived at Flamengo to make his mark in our history with the titles of Conmenbol Libertadores and the Brazilian Championship.

    “Pablo Mari, thanks for everything.”

    Arsenal reportedly approached Roberto Martinez before appointing Mikel Arteta.

    According to Het Laatste Nieuws via Sport Witness, the Gunners got in contact with the Belgium boss in December.

    Speaking to HLN, Royal Belgian Football Assocation president Mehdi Bayat said: “Arsenal has knocked on the door for Martinez.”
