10pm Arsenal news LIVE: Newcastle win reaction, Chukwueze enquiry, club legend Ian Wright brands Emery ‘delusional’ – The Sun

ARSENAL ended a run of four straight Premier League draws as they beat Newcastle 3-0 at the Emirates.

Second half goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette were enough to give Mikel Arteta's side all three points,

While on the transfer front, the Gunners are reportedly ready to sell Keiran Tierney to Leicester for £25million.

  • Mesut Ozil – 7

The German is beginning to thrive in his favoured number 10 position.

Started several attacks for the Gunners and even got on the scoresheet thanks to a howler from Newcastle stopper Martin Dubravka.

    Eddie Nketiah – 4

Surprisingly given the nod over Lacazette up front, Nketiah struggled with the step up from Championship to Premier League, despite hitting the bar after doing well to make contact with a Pepe cross.

  • Granit Xhaka – 6

A decent performance from the Swiss midfielder, highlighted with a string of important tackles and blocks.

The former captain must be careful when wanting to steal the ball every time having given away some cheap fouls.

    Nicolas Pepe – 9

The Ivorian reacted well after Arteta admitted he was suffering from confidence issues.

He produced a great cross for Aubameyang’s opener, coolly finished for his goal and set up Lacazette at the end.

  • Bukayo Saka – 8

With the 18-year-old’s contract up at the end of next season manager Mikel Arteta should be pushing for a new deal to be put on the table.

Saka provided a great assist for Pepe’s goal and was full of creation from the left.

    Dani Ceballos – 6

After a poor first-half, which can be expected having recently returned to the side from injury, the Spaniard was more creative and effective on the ball in the second-half.

  • Shkodran Mustafi – 6

Despite a few misplaced passes the usually clumsy German gave little for the home supporters to criticise.

    David Luiz – 7

Dealt with the physicality of Joelinton well and led well from the back.

Gunners fans will be hoping for more performances like that.

  • Bernd Leno – 6/10

The German had near enough nothing to do throughout the game bar cheer on his team-mates. But a clean sheet was earned nonetheless.

    Hector Bellerin – 5

Given a real test facing Allan Saint-Maximin the Spaniard was often given the runaround.

But he wasn’t helped much by Pepe and is still on his way back from injury.
