Spurs have been tipped to make a late move for Man Utd target Emre Can.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham could make a last-gasp £21million offer for the German international.

It had been claimed that Borussia Dortmund were leading the race, but the report claims talks between Juventus and BVB have hit a snag.

This has allowed Spurs to think that a deal could be reached to bring Can to North London.

Spurs have reportedly offered Ligue 1 side Rennes the chance to sign Victor Wanyama, according to L'Equipe.

They state that Fiorentina have also made a concrete offer to sign the Kenyan international.

The 28-year-old has featured in just four games in all competitions this season.

Former England international Danny Mills believes Spurs signing Olivier Giroud is a “no-brainer”.

Speaking to Football Insider, he said: “He’s not a goalscorer, but what he does do is his team play, the way he brings people into a game is sensational.

“The way that Mourinho plays, he likes a big centre-forward, he likes a target man – somebody to play the ball into, hold the ball up, bring people into play. He likes that focal point. There’s no surprise.

“The move across London would suit Giroud.

“When you’re looking at if you can get him in, then yeah, I think that’s a no-brainer.”

Danny Murphy has had his say on who he thinks is better between Mesut Ozil and Christian Eriksen.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “If you were asking who I would have in my team, I'd have Ozil ahead of Eriksen. It's a tough one. [But] Ozil is better.

“A lot of the time Eriksen's best stuff comes when the team is doing well and the players around him are playing well. A bit like Ozil.

“[He cannot] grab a game by the scruff of its kneck on his own. He's not a physical presence. But he's a technically a good player, who could bang in a good free-kick.

“I think he has done brilliantly at times for Spurs. Football is about opinion. Mine isn't right and yours isn't right. We have all got our own.

“I just think that Ozil in a big game in the past [has played well], he's won World Cups, and he's done more than Eriksen. He has been more successful.”

Former Spurs third-choice goalkeeper has urged the club to sign ex-Arsenal ace Olivier Giroud as he compared him to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Speaking to Love Sport Radio, he said: “Someone like Giroud would be great. He’s a top striker, and he wouldn’t mind playing second fiddle to Kane – he would know his role.

“He’s one they should look at, because he knows how to play up top on his own.

“He’s like Drogba – he can hold the ball up, win headers, link the play and be a real focal point for the side.

“I can’t see anyone coming in for fifty million and being a real top player, but Giroud could do a job for Spurs so maybe he’s one to get over the line”.
