ROAD TO RECOVERY
Marcus Rashford drove himself to Carrington on Saturday just days after having to be chauffeured in following his back injury.
The Manchester United striker, 22, suffered a stress fracture in his back against Wolves earlier in January.
He is now set to miss at least eight weeks of action as the pressure mounts on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try and finish in the top four and secure Champions League qualification.
Rashford had to be given a lift in earlier in the week but clearly felt able enough to get himself to the training ground on Saturday.
However, he will not be part of the Manchester United training session as they prepare to face Tranmere on Sunday.
Man Utd have reportedly joined Spurs in the race to sign Fenerbahce ace Vedat Muriqi this month.
According to Fotospor, the Red Devils have lodged an offer to bring the 25-year-old striker to Old Trafford.
They claim that while he is excited by the offer, the Turkish side are unlikely to sell him this window.
BOC TO THE FUTURE
Dimitar Berbatov reckons Manchester United could do a lot worse than going for ex-striker Carlos Tevez, currently at Boca Juniors.
The Bulgarian, who played with Tevez in 2008-09 said: ''Why not?!
“When you have these loan deals it's good to get someone who knows the place, knows the situation and knows the fans.
“In the dressing room, he was quiet, a bit like me, but that's not always important.
“We all saw what he was like on the pitch, he would run like crazy, fight for his team, score goals and he would never give up until the final whistle and you could say that is what United need right now''.
RB Leipzig have completed the signing of Man Utd target Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb.
The Spanish midfielder has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Bundesliga giants.
Chelsea, Barcelona and Leicester were also linked with a move for the 21-year-old.
Newcastle are in talks with the Saudi Arabia state over a £340million takeover bid and a deal could be done within days, according to reports.
Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman – who linked last year with buying the Red Devils – is heading up the purchase from the Saudi side alongside a group of investors organised by Amanda Staveley.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a final deal between Mike Ashley and the Public Investment Fund could be done within days or weeks – but the tentative agreement could still collapse.
Staveley was heavily involved with an attempt to take control of the St James' Park club in 2017 before walking away from the table.
The takeover could be similar to the Abu Dhabi's acquisition of Manchester City in 2008 which has led to more than £1billion being pumped into the Citizens to make them into one of the best teams in the world.
