Arsenal should move for Ivan Toney and Douglas Luiz – Louis Saha
Former Manchester United and Spurs striker Louis Saha has said that moving for Douglas Luiz and Ivan Toney in January would push Arsenal closer to the title.
He told Paddy Power: "Ivan Toney and Douglas Luiz would be great signings for Arsenal as they’re looking to build a squad to win the Premier League. They need signings like them because their bench is sometimes a little bit light.
“We saw it last year; things went well at the start of the season and then they had a couple of injuries and that’s the nature of the Premier League.
“I can see Arsenal going for Toney and Luiz, but especially Toney. He’s had his suspension and he’ll come back with loads of motivation and excitement. It’ll be like he’s starting his career again and he’d be a really good signing for Arsenal.

FA hand Arteta response extension
Mikel Arteta has been handed an extension by the FA to respond to his charge for comments after Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle.
The Gunners boss was furious after Anthony Gordon’s goal was allowed to stand at St James Park earlier this month, labelling it an “absolute disgrace” in his post-match press conference as he hit out at the “embarrassing” officiating.
It was confirmed last week that Arteta had been charged by the FA, and initially had until Tuesday to respond. That has now been extended to today.
Arteta was backed by Arsenal following his rant, with the club “wholeheartedly” supporting his comments in a statement released the following day, and the Spaniard has had little interest in backing down since then.
Arsenal will not face punishment for their response, but Arteta could face a touchline ban after his charge.

Havertz opens up on settling in at Arsenal
Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has revealed he settled positively after moving from Chelsea.
Speaking to the Gunners’ club website, he said: “From outside, Arsenal always looked like a family. That’s the feeling I got when playing.
“And when I joined, that was exactly what it was like, and the staff are really nice too – and that makes life easier for a new player.
“From the first minute that I spoke to Mikel about joining Arsenal, I had this feeling that he respects all of us very much, so that was also a big part of me joining the club.
“I just felt the togetherness of the club from the players and especially within the fans and the whole club.
“At the training ground it’s like a big family – and this is a big factor to achieve great things.”

Three Gunners feature in the top 10 with Mikel Arteta regularly fielding his best side this term.
New arrival Declan Rice is important to the Spaniard's plans at the Emirates Stadium but will have to be cautious not to burn out, as well as William Saliba and Ben White.

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Newcastle should make a move for Aaron Ramsdale.

Webb calls for clamp down on card waving
Refs chief Howard Web has told Premier League officials they MUST clamp down on players waving imaginary cards.
PGMOL boss Webb has also reiterated the need for refs to enforce directives penalising dissent.
And in a further statement of intent, Webb wants VAR officials to step in if “soft” penalties are wrongly awarded.
The former World Cup final whistler laid down his demands at the scheduled gathering of officials at their Loughborough base ahead of this weekend’s Prem resumption.
Webb pointed out that the early season directive to book – and if a second offence, send off – players showing imaginary cards after fouls appears to have been forgotten in recent weeks.
That inconsistency has been a complaint from fans up and down the country.
Webb is equally keen to ensure the strong line against dissent continues – as a way of enforcing better behaviour from players and managers alike.
