Arsenal re-release "Bruised Banana" kit and it's on sale TODAY- here's where to get it

ARESNAL and Adidas are throwing it back to the nineties with the re-release of their iconic Bruised Banana kit.

The legendary retro kit – which has inspired their current away shirt – will go on sale today, and here's how you can get your hands on it.

The kit has been announced with a retro inspired video featuring current Arsenal stars, Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Ainsley Maitland-Niles was released yesterday morning, with the collection going on sale at 8:45am.

Fans will need to be quick if they want to get their hands on it though, as the legendary kit is sure to sell out.

The Originals X Arsenal collection features six pieces, including retro track tops, tracksuit bottoms, and sweatshirts, and of course, the 91-93 Away Jersey.

The Bruised Banana shirt was used from 1991 -93, and comes complete with original trefoil logo, Arsenal badge – making it a like-for-like remake.

Arsenal have launched a number of vintage clothes including tracksuits and jackets

Arsenal legend Ian Wright, said: “It’s great to see Adidas and Arsenal bringing back some of the iconic designs which were such a big part of my career in the 90’s.

"It is probably something a lot of the fans would have been hoping for once the partnership was announced.

"It made sense for the current away shirt to be inspired by the original bruised banana jersey and likewise to bring the old one back as well for a one off.”

However, some fans have been left outraged at the price of the kit, as the jersey is priced at an eye-watering £74.95.

One disgruntled supporter commented: "They really charging £75 for the new/old bruised banana shirt??! Ffs @Arsenal @adidasfootball, why you pricing fans out of this iconic shirt."

That said, we're still expecting these shirts to fly off the shelves – so act quick if you want to get your hands on one.

Some Arsenal fans have been left outraged at the cost of the shirt, with it retailing at £75.
