Boxing fans rip into new clip of Francis Ngannou on the pads and ask 'is this in slow motion?' ahead of Tyson Fury fight | The Sun

FANS have torn into Francis Ngannou due to his slow pad work ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury – and fear he will get flattened.

The crossover bout will take place on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

Heavyweight champion Fury faces the MMA star, who has Mike Tyson in his corner, in a boxing ring under Queensberry rules over ten rounds.

Supporters are concerned that the fight will be a complete mismatch after a video emerged of Ngannou looking laboured in training.

The Cameroonian-born star seemed to lack a hard-hitting punch as he prepared for the contest with his trainer.

Fans are convinced it will be a routine win for Fury, saying: "This in slow motion?"

Another added: "Man this ain't gone be funny how much of a mismatch this is going to be."

A third reacted: "This has to be a joke, he has to be playing into the bad pad work scheme at this point."

A fourth suggested: "Naaaa Ngannou is getting smoked."

Despite backing from fans, Fury believes that his opponent will cause him more trouble than some other established heavyweight boxers.

The Gypsy King said: "I think he’s going to be a bit of a bigger, tougher challenge than these other guys. These other guys are just boxers, this guy’s more than that.”

But Fury is still aware he is the heavy favourite, adding: "If I lose to an MMA guy I’ll never be able to show my face in public again.

"It’s going to ridicule me – people will chuck it at me forever.

“If I get knocked out, then I want you all to laugh at me. That’s what I want, because I deserve it.”
