Chelsea admin pokes fun at themselves with blunt three-word statement after Man City and Tottenham carnage | The Sun

CHELSEA'S social media admin poked fun at themselves with a blunt three-word statement after the eventful Manchester City and Tottenham games.

The Blues hosted City off the back of a 4-1 win in the London derby against Spurs, who had two players sent off.

Chelsea posted on X, formerly Twitter after the five-goal thriller: "Had quieter evenings tbh."

But the Blues' social media account was put to work when Premier League champions City came to Stamford Bridge.

That match ended in a 4-4 draw with City believing they had snatched a late winner when Rodri's strike deflected past Robert Sanchez.

But drama struck late as Armando Broja won a penalty in added time, allowing former City star Cole Palmer to convert from the spot.

After the eight-goal classic, Chelsea replied to their previous post with: "Had quieter weeks."

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino was raging at the full time whistle as he believed Raheem Sterling was through on goal.

But the Argentine later said: "I need to apologise to Anthony [Taylor] and the officials.

"In this moment, I feel Raheem [Sterling] can go through to score the fifth. In this moment when we finish the game, I turn to Anthony and say 'What the, you know, is going on? Why stop in this moment the action?'

"Then I turned and said 'I deserve to be booked' because yes, I crossed the limit. I want to apologise because it is not a good image for me and for football, this type of behaviour."

As for ignoring Guardiola, he added: "I want to apologise to him also. In this moment, I didn't see him. I was only focused on the action. So I want to apologise to Pep also."

Guradiola responded: "It is not a problem. I don't want to talk about that, it is fine. Everyone with the emotions, it happened to me sometimes.

"It's fine, honestly. I don't want you to misunderstand me, in the past it happened with Pochettino but its fine. Completely, completely fine."
