While speaking to Radio Rai, CEO Beppe Marotta admitted this week: "It’s certainly easier to replace a centre-back than a striker.

"Probably we will be forced to sell someone in that position."

The duo teamed up to help Inter win the title under Antonio Conte in 2021.

Skriniar has made 215 appearances for the San Siro club.

Chelsea could turn their attention towards Juventus ace Matthijs de Ligt.

Corriere dello Sport are now reporting that showdown talks between the player and club have resulted in De Ligt asking to leave.

Spurs, meanwhile, may target Piero Hincapie – with SunSport revealing that Bayer Leverkusen are demanding £34m for the Ecuadorian defender.
