Chelsea's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga had a night to forget
KEPA ARRIZABALAGA
Had very little to do all night until Wolves sparked into life. Should possibly have saved Raul Jimenez’s low drive but isn’t helped by a fragile defence.
CESAR AZPILICUETA
Looks uncomfortable out on the right, having been central under Antonio Conte. Lacked pace and was troubled by Wolves speed of attack.
ANDREAS CHRISTENSEN
Begun well in his first start of the season but lacked the leadership skills Chelsea need and was at fault for Jimenez’s goal.
ANTONIO RUDIGER
Lacks the assurance in defence without a leader alongside him. The centre-back was bullied by the presence of Raul Jimenez most of the night and wavered under it.
MARCOS ALONSO
The Spaniard’s best work is always going forward and he is lacking defensively.
As with the rest of the back four, struggled with Wolves’ physicality.
CESC FABREGAS
Lacks the legs needed in the pace of the Premier League now in what was his first start of the Premier League season.
Expect Jorginho to come back quickly.
N’GOLO KANTE
Continues to look uncomfortable on the right of midfield, lacking the required creative quality in the final third and uncharacteristically sloppy in possession.
RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK
An element of fortune in his 18th minute goal but that’s two in two for the 22-year-old as he took the opportunity to impress in his first league start for Chelsea in 33 months.
EDEN HAZARD
As usual, the Belgian was a class above the rest. Terrified Wolves with his dribbling and created the best chances, showing why the Blues HAVE to keep hold of him.
WILLIAN
Should have had a hat-trick but for the fingertips of Rui Patricio, the last-ditch defending of Conor Coady and some erratic finishing.
ALVARO MORATA
A bruising night for the struggling Spaniard, both physically and mentally.
Never looked like scoring and spent most of the game on the ground in what was a physical encounter.
