    Good morning Chelsea fans

Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the brink of joining Bayer Leverkusen on loan for the remainder of the season.

The England international is relishing the challenge ahead, saying: “I am very happy to be here.

“I hope we can win a trophy and go far in the Champions League.”

The Blues, meanwhile, have reportedly received a £30million offer for Conor Gallagher from Crystal Palace.

CBS reporter Ben Jacobs tweeted: “There is lots of interest in Gallagher.

“Palace have made an offer for just under £30m and Everton have been tracking him as well.

“I think it’s going to be very difficult to get Conor Gallagher on a permanent deal unless the player actually pushes for it.”

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel claims he'll be more than content with his squad if he fails to make any last-minute additions.

He said: “Right now, we could need some more players in some positions.

“But it’s very close to the end of the transfer window and when the first of September comes, I will be a happy coach no matter what happens, and I will try to find solutions, not think about what could have happened.”

    Gordon advice

Rio Ferdinand has urged Anthony Gordon to stand-up for himself and say, 'I want to leave' to the Everton board to force through a move to Chelsea.

He said on his Vibe with Five podcast: "Is he worth that? Probably not right now.

"Could he eventually be worth £60m? Potentially, he has the chance to do that. This kid is the crown jewels at Everton at the moment.

"They don’t want to see him go because of what that will do for the morale of the football club and the fans in the stadium.

"It’s difficult but if he wants to go, he’s got to go in and show the balls to go to the manager and the chairman and say ‘I want to leave’ and see how they deal with that."

    Fofana will "sulk"

Wantaway Leicester defender Wesley Fofana will be "sulking" throughout the season if the Foxes don't grant him his move to Chelsea.

That's the view of Jermaine Pennant, who told talkSPORT: “They’ve got to sell him.

"They have to sell him because if he’s not in the right place when this deal’s come in and not been accepted the first time.

“His head’s not going to get any better, especially if that move doesn’t come.

“He’s going to be sulking all the way through and Leicester will have lost the player and they’ll have no money."

    Gordon transfer talked down

Anthony Gordon has been told to snub a late transfer to Chelsea to continue honing his craft with Everton.

During an appearance on talkSPORT, ex-Liverpool star Danny Murphy said: “I think, for the lad, he will benefit more from playing another year at Everton, definitely.

“Because he’s gonna play every game, he’s already super confident, the fans love him, he’s comfortable, he doesn’t have to prove himself again, he’s got that already.

“And he’s gonna gain so much experience by playing 90 minutes every week, rather than 12 minutes here and 30 minutes here

    “He’s gonna learn more.”

‘Once they leave the building, they have their phones on and they will get calls and think about their future and their next step.

"There is a World Cup coming which everybody talks about and thinks about.

"I have accepted it is like this, and from the second of September there are no more excuses and no more distractions.

"We will have different leverage to push players and the commitment will have to be there 100 per cent.

"We will not accept 99, but the reality is in the last days of the transfer window you have to accept it, no matter what you wish for."

    Anthony Gordon latest

Everton boss Frank Lampard insists Chelsea target Anthony Gordon won't go on strike in order to force through a move to Stamford Bridge.

The former Blues midfielder said: "Anthony wouldn't, shouldn't, couldn't do that with me.

"If he did try and sit out a game he'd see a different side to me. No doubt about that and I think he knows that.

"I'm not playing the hard one, it's just that it would be so alien from what I'd expect from him. I just know that's not him.

"At the same time he's not a robot and all this attention is difficult. I understand that, I was that ambitious young player.

"That's the beauty of Anthony. Hard-working. He wants to be better. He wants to do what he did (on Saturday), which is score goals, run for this team, and that's why he's a delight to work with. So there was never any idea that Anthony would act that way."

“We have people who are working on trying to improve the squad.

"We are short of numbers, we need players, and we will try to bring those players.

"If not, I’m quite happy with the players we have, we will work and try to win football matches.”

    Tuchel's "headache"

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted he'd like to sign a midfielder before the transfer window shuts on September 1.

He said: He replied: “It is, and it's normally the area I would love to have a headache about who plays and who is on the bench.

"This is normally the area where I thought we would have five players that could all play for us and have Carney [Chukwuemeka] on top as an option as a young player.

"The headache before the season was whether we had too many players there, but it comes to the fifth game, and maybe we only have two left with experience in this position and Kova from the bench He is not ready to play full matches at Premier League level as he only had a week after training after his injury.

"It's a strange situation and a situation we don't like. I don't know why we are in this situation, actually. It's like this, and we will have something to think about [over the team selection], or maybe not because it's so obvious who we have left."
