CHRIS BASHAM suffered an horrific ankle injury during Sheffield United's Premier League defeat by Fulham.
The match was stopped for 13 minutes while the star was given oxygen and then taken to hospital in distressing scenes.
Basham attempted to cross the ball into the Fulham box when his ankle gave way and was badly broken.
The Blades captain is now with medics in hospital, his manager Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed.

Manager Paul Heckingbottom admitted he got a good view of happened to Chris Basham.
And when his player was receiving treatment, he made sure he went onto the pitch to see how he was.
