Darts fans have been left fuming by John McDonald's decision not to use Owen Bates' brilliantly rude nickname.
Bates, 21, is making his Paddy Power World Darts Championship debut at Alexandra Palace and faces Steve Lennon in the first round. Though MC McDonald clearly didn't get the nickname memo.
Bates has the nickname 'The Master' and it's often included in between his first name and surname in a wonderful pun. Though McDonald did not use the moniker.

Instead the legendary MC introduced Owen Bates as just that, with fans quickly taking to social media to voice their disappointment.
One wrote, alongside a series of heartbroken emojis: "It should’ve been “Please welcome Owen ‘The Master’ Bates”."
While another added: "Justice For Owen Bates' nickname."
One more wrote: "He will always be known as 'the master'. Owen Bates should have kept it." With another commenting: "Owen Bates is a master at the darts lol".
Bates qualified for the Paddy Power World Darts Championship thanks to his second place finish on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit this year.
He had said before the fun got underway: "I was advised by the PDC to change my nickname and I fully respect their decision and completely understand why they've made the decision they have.
"But, no, I won’t have a new nickname for the World Championships, that’s for sure.”
