ENGLAND rugby star George Ford has split from his fiancee just seven months after getting engaged.
The Red Rose and Leicester fly-half, 26, and stunning fashion designer Jess Portman called time on their relationship last month.
Jess, 24, flew out to Japan to support her ex in the World Cup last November as England lost in the final.
But the Daily Mail report that she is now moving out of their home in Leicester with their beloved dog Bailee and returning to Bath to live with her parents.
A source told the paper: "It's very regrettable because they made a fantastic couple.
"Both are very private individuals and are focusing on coming to terms with what has happened. It's very sad."
The couple got engaged last June – just three months before the World Cup in Japan.
It is not clear what the cause of the split was.
Jess has reportedly been spending most of her time in London since they broke up, overseeing her fashion business, Portman London UK.
She was flown out to New York by friends recently to help her get over the split.
And she posted photos detailing the trip to her 16,000 Instagram followers.
The couple met six years ago through mutual friends when Jess was studying fashion at Manchester University.
But she may not have been too keen on George initially because it took a year before she finally agreed to go on a date with him.
They bought their home in Leicester three years ago after Jess graduated and George had signed for Premiership club Leicester.
George, who is currently playing with England in the Six Nations, credited his ex with giving him a good balance away from the game.
He said: "You've got to live a normal life at home and it's hugely important to get that right.
"It can be pretty full-on week in week out at the club and when you're going away playing games it's nice to come home and be relaxed in a good environment when you can switch off every evening and watch some rubbish on TV. Simple things like that are important."
A spokesman for Ford said: "We can confirm that George's relationship with Jess is over. It ended amicably.
"They met when they were very young and things just ran their course."
