Former QPR co-owner Tony Fernandes is slammed as ‘unprofessional’ for getting a half-naked massage during a WORK MEETING – and boasting about the ‘culture’ on LinkedIn – before hastily deleting his post

Ex-QPR co-owner Tony Fernandes has come under criticism after sharing a half-naked image of himself receiving a massage during a meeting. 

In July, the AirAsia boss left his role at Loftus Road after 12 years to focus his time on other business ventures such as the Malaysian budget airline.

The workload had clearly taken its toll on the 59-year-old, who accompanied his LinkedIn post with a message revealing that it had been a ‘stressful week’.

‘Got to love Indonesia and AirAsia culture that I can have a massage and do a management meeting,’ he said. 

Fernandes has been heavily criticised on social media for the post, which appears to have been deleted.

The 59-year-old Malaysian businessman bought Queens Park Rangers back in 2011 and described his 12-year tenure at Loftus Road as ‘an incredible period of highs and lows’

Users were quick to respond to the post, with one fan claiming it was ‘unprofessional’, while another called Fernandes ‘inappropriate and absurd’.

One user bluntly commented: ‘Some CEOs need to stay off LinkedIn.’

The businessman left a peculiar legacy in English football when he departed the west London club this summer. He summer up his time as ‘an incredible period of highs and lows.’

QPR were relegated to the Championship in the first full season after Fernandes took control alongside Ruben Gnanalingam and Kamarudin Meranun but they managed to make an immediate return to the top-flight. 

Unfortunately, since their 2015 relegation QPR have only finished in the top 10 of the second-tier once. 

They finished 20th in the Championship last season under Gary Ainsworth, after axing former manager Neil Critchley in February, who arrived at the club following Michael Beale’s move to Rangers.
